Just a quick note to let everyone know about one half of Tea Time – me – has been a bit affected by the TN Flooding. My house is fine, but our neighborhood was hit hard. My wife’s parents house went about 50% under, and we’ve been spending every morning, day and night working on doing what we can.  I’ve burned through all my leave so will be going back to work tomorrow.

We’ve been anxious to Tea Time about it but I haven’t had a free minute, and still don’t. Just wanted to post this quick update. We’ll be back ASAP – and you can bet we’ll have a lot to talk about!

Here are 200 or so of the pictures we took the first few days. I’ll have the next round up in the morning covering from then till tonight. (UPDATE: More pics, link at bottom of post)  They’re in order of time taken. The area with the stop sign, that you see in the first picture, is by my house. That picture is taken out my window. The water rose to the top of that basketball goal, to give you an idea. The rest are pics from around our ‘hood and my in laws house.

Most the people in the area don’t have flood insurance because half of us are out of the flood zone. This is a 500 year flood, they’re saying. So. This is a huge loss for most people. Wife’s parents included.

Anyway, will be back soon hopefully to talk about all this. We’re gunna try today to finish all that we can do before leaving the rest up to the pro’s..

p.s. Side note, wife’s brother and his wife – who also live in Bellevue – had their baby yesterday! Bad timing but.. I’m an uncle!
